Caroline St-Laurent

 

Born in Rimouski, Quebec, Caroline St-Laurent is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Visual Arts at the Université du Québec à Montréal. Performing bodies are centre elements of her creations in installations and videos. Her work has recently been shown in the framework of a first individual exhibition at Espace F in Matane, QC. She has participated in several group exhibitions and has been recognized during many inter-university video creation competitions. She has received several scholarships and prizes, including the Joseph-Armand-Bombardier Graduate Scholarship from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) in 2011, the Rollande Guertin-Buissière Scholarship in 2010, and the Robert Wolfe Award in Visual Arts in 2008.
