Stewart Applegath was born in Toronto in 1959. He studied at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax and in 1993 received an M.F.A. from the School of the Art Institute in Chicago. A prolific videographer, Stewart Applegath's work positions itself between documentary and situational practice.   ±

A video artist, filmmaker and composer by training, Robert Cahen crosses the borders between the arts. He graduated from the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique in Paris in 1971, where he studied under Pierre Schaeffer, and has brought to video the technical and formal experiments of musique concrète. A researcher at the ORTF, Cahen is a pioneer in the use of electronic instruments.   ±

The multidisciplinary artist Mario Côté was born in Sayabec, Quebec and currently lives in Montreal. He is an artist, painter and videomaker who also works as a video critic - his work has appeared in 24 images and ETC Montréal - and as a teacher of video and painting at the Université du Québec à Montréal. Touching on landscape, painting and portraiture, his work joins video and painting.   ±

Patrice Duhamel (1970-2008) was born in Contrecoeur, Quebec. After university studies in visual art, he became interested primarily in video, but also in drawing and photography. His tapes have been selected at the Rendez-vous du cinéma québecois and at the 28th Festival international nouveau cinéma et nouveaux médias.   ±
