The Rencontres cinématographiques de Québec (formerly the Rencontres du Festival de cinéma des trois Amériques) will be held on March 24 and 25, 2011 in Quebec City, Canada. This event is a synergetic meeting place for professionals to exchange ideas and interests with their public and private partners in audio-visual and media production and dissemination. The Rencontres include a program of activities organised around public talks, workshops and discussions with industry specialists and are an opportunity to broaden one’s knowledge, discover new avenues of approach and take better advantage of new technologies.

The Rencontres are a rare opportunity to speak with people working in the film and television industries; Telefilm Canada, SODEC, numerous partners and several broadcasters travel to Quebec City just for the occasion. Something new in 2011: film and television professionals – scriptwriters, directors, editors, musicians, etc. – will have an opportunity to meet the producers present one-on-one in order to make them familiar with their areas of expertise.
