The exhibition "Faire comme si", which includes the work of Jacynthe Carrier, an artist whose short film À l’errance (Wander) is distributed by Vidéographe, opens on January 26 at 5:00 p.m. This exhibition – made up of installations, videos and photographs – is being presented by the Musée Régionale de Rimouski and has been organised by the curator Anne-Marie St-Jean Aubre. In addition to Jacynthe Carrier, the exhibition features the work of Julie Favreau and Vicky Sabourin concerning the tableau vivant.

Jacynthe Carrier is currently enrolled in a master’s program at Concordia University. In 2011, she received the Prix de la création artistique award from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec for her video À l’errance, which is included in the present exhibition. Her work was also included in the 2011 edition of the Triennale québécoise at the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal (on view until February 2, 2012).

The Musée Régionale de Rimouski is located at 35 rue Saint-Germain Ouest.

The exhibition runs until April 8, 2012.
