The Festival des Films de la Relève (FFR) is already preparing its third edition! Last year the FFR presented a bountiful crop of short, medium-length and feature films, and is repeating the experience again this year. The festival is geared to filmmakers between the ages of 18 and 35 just getting started as film and video artists. Films chosen for the festival will be evaluated by a jury made up of film industry professionals who will award prizes to the winners.

The goal of the FFR is to promote independently produced work that has not had the opportunity or privilege to circulate amongst a wide audience. It highlights the talent and resourcefulness of young filmmakers in Quebec and the rest of Canada. Filmmakers will have the opportunity to meet other filmmakers, discuss their ideas and share their experiences in a friendly atmosphere. It’s a unique event you won’t want to miss.

Filmmakers have until February 1, 2012 to submit one or more films to the festival.
