PROPERTY

The Vithèque platform is the property of Vidéographe, an artist-run centre devoted to the creation, distribution and dissemination of media art based in Montreal, Canada. The design of the platform, its interface, architecture and tree structure, the digitising and compression of works, the standardisation of data, the creation of content apart from the videos and the visual and textual documents supplied by the authors, and the textual and visual documentation of the works were produced by Vidéographe’s Vithèque team. The tools for managing, promotion, communication and follow-up, as well as the automated features, tools, guides, charts and the range of services developed on Vithèque are the property of Vidéographe.

The works belong to their authors or their copyright holders. Vidéographe holds exclusive rights only over the distribution and/or dissemination on Vithèque of the works in its catalogue, for which it holds an agreement with these works’ authors or copyright holders. The works accessible on Vithèque which come from other catalogues and which are not distributed by Vidéographe are subject to an agreement with Vidéographe-Vithèque concerning their dissemination and/or distribution on the Vithèque platform. Through this agreement, Vidéographe-Vithèque is authorised to disseminate and/or distribute these works only on Vithèque. The authors or copyright holders remain the sole legal representatives of these works for any dissemination or distribution outside of Vithèque.

Vithèque’s technological engineering was entirely created by the company Coginov. The graphic design of the Vithèque interface was designed by the company Eau Cube. Both these companies are based in Montreal.
